M.B  -To the river Po -

“Music and colours are from yesterday till today my enormous Odyssey” these are the words of my great friend and painter Roberto Caradonna.
Their company never makes me feel alone.
I am always inventing new emotions, new stimulations which make me feel better, which make me feel alive.
When I was 10 years old, my favourite game was writing music and in the evening I performed them to my family.
At 16th years old I became the singer of the band The Devils. We felt this as our baptise for the fire, to perform for the first time for a real public, to let them enjoy, to let them dance and also being paid for this. What a panic that first time.

After this experience I give myself as a present a long pause to study music: singing and composing.
One day in Spring arrives from a island far away, Perez Prado The King of Mambo.
This makes me a guitarist and singer of South American Music, mixed with Pop music when I worked with the band Gherol Besy. I was the youngest of the band together with the members: Bruno-Renato-Luigi-Giugliano-Gentile. A big experience, long tours, great advises, big friends, fantastic memories.

When my collaboration with Prado ended, I decided  to start all over again, to perform as a solo artist my own songs, something what was always in me.
My first disks, big contracts, and writing music without a pause for myself and other artists.
Then arrives the magic Milan period were I met great musicians and great friends: Frank Laugelli-Alberto Tolot-Claudio Calzolari-Sergio Denardi-Franco Jadanza-Franco Dede. Together we made songs who are still actual today.

Trying and trying again to find the big success, time over time they slammed the door into my face. This was the reason to start a fantastic band, with: Amadeus-Joe-Elvira-Gino-Sandro. We travelled all over Europe and shared everything. Seven years together singing about everything, eating everything, laughing about everything, enjoying everything like the musketeers
But there comes a day that the fairy tail finishes and me arrives an other Odyssey  Monique, my wife.
What I wanted, happened. After the tour in Indonesia I said goodbye to the band and started for the varies time all over again, which intends a new homeland Holland, a Dutch wife, an other language and an other culture, new colours and new music, two sons: Marlon, who is nowadays a rapper, a saxophonist and pianist and Gaio a guitarist and pianist and collects statues of Buddha.

For me Holland is a sea of creativity. I sing, write music, I paint, I create everything for me and other artists. At this moment I enjoy writing melodies Pop Classic Jazz at my piano. The ideas and inspiration are born after a holiday in Umbria, Italy.
Saint Francesco gave me the inspiration and gift for the music of my project “Umbria music and colours”, the music you can listen at my site are: “Umbria only piano”
I don’t exclude that my next Odyssey will bring me back to Italy, in America or who knows Canada. I feel that there will be big travels and big prospectives.
